System Requirements Not Met: The temp system folder (/private/tmp) is not secure.

Please try:

  • start TERMINAL app (Finder->Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
  • type in sudo chmod 01777 /private/tmp
  • you will need to type in your Mac password but you won't see cursor moving
  • press Enter
  • then try again

    Hi, I tried this but same error message.

    FWIW mine is slightly different (I tried your fix with and w/out 'private')

    The tmp system folder (/tmp) is not secure.

    MyExpatNet and other programs may not work properly until this problem is fixed.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thx
