When I try UK sites they are saying I am not in the UK

Firstly make sure our connection icon shows a green arrow. If it is green this could just be a sticky connection so disconnect the VPN, clear browsing data and cookies, restart you machine AND router, and then re-connect. This will refresh your IP address. Also try refreshing the browser or try an different browser.

My VPN hasn't worked for several months. I Player always says that I'm not in the uk. I connect as administrator and the arrow turns green, but it no longer fools the BBC.

I have Google chrome and torch and neither work. I've shut down and restarted many times and switched on and off the router, I've even tried more than one internet connection and different computers (I have multi device subscription) and none work. In my mind I think that the BBC have wised up to the VPN malarkey and found another way of blocking it.

    Any suggestions?

Could be a variety of reasons. From a change in your network topology to the country you are in actively blocking VPN traffic.

If you contact support and put a support ticket on I'm sure we can get to the bottom of the problem quickly. We'd need some details from you that you don't really want to be posting in an open forum (such as username and password for your subscription and your VPNs connection logs).

    Best regards

I had this problem a while ago...just clear all browsers, then unplug router, wait a while, resetting router, then restart your device, snd when you next connecting the vpn, keep open the window that tells you what networks are connected. i think that did help me. but definitely ask them to help you, they are experts, fill out a support form, they will fix it for you. -- another expat subscriber
